Established in the 1920s, this family estate is a benchmark in Chinon, and currently run by the 3rd and 4th generations of the family. 80% of their production is sold in France to high-end restaurants (21 of the 26 Michelin 3-star restaurants!). Long-time favorite of ours and so glad to have them here.

In their third generation of winemaking in Robertson, the De Wet family sets the standard for Chardonnay grown in South Africa. The Limestone Hill gets its name, quite obviously, from the soil, and the wine is unwooded, clean, with a touch of lees contact. Delicious.
At a high elevation in the Stellenbosch region, this estate was formerly owned by the famous wine writer, Stephen Platter, and then acquired in 2003 by Laurence Graff of Graff Diamonds International with the intention to make the estate a haven for hospitality, art, and obviously top-notch winemaking.
Bourgogne. Jean-Pierre Berthenet and his son, François, run this small estate in Montagny-les-Buxy. Originally selling fruit to the local co-op, in 2001, François decided to release their own wines, sustainably farmed, beautifully produced.
Burgundy, France: Mâcon-Verzé
A family domaine, owned by the father-and-son team of Robert and Damien Martin, who approach all aspects of the viticulture and winemaking with a deep love and respect for the traditions of the Mâconnais.
Tasting Notes: Well defined citrus and stone fruit aromas, with hints of acacia, honeysuckle, verbena, and fennel. Combines vivacity, roundness, fruitiness, and aromatic richness.
Serve With: Excellent as an aperitif for its beautiful crispness, it pairs with poultry, veal, and lighter meats, risottos with meat or fish, cold antipasti, mixed salads.
“We have been living and working on this estate established in the Pouilly Fumé appellation area for three generations now. It is in this authentic 19th century farmhouse that several Pouilly Fumé vintages are traditionally produced, as well as various local productions. Our specific terroir and its reflection in the wines encourage us to search for its most accurate expression. Gilles Maudry has been the harvesting owner of the estate since 1984, following his father Antoine. Following long higher studies, his son Matthieu joined the business in 2015.”
