Description

Nickel & Nickel winery, located in Oakville, Napa Valley, is dedicated exclusively to producing 100 percent varietal, single-vineyard wines that best express the distinct personality of each vineyard. Established by the partners of Far Niente in 1997, Nickel & Nickel is focused on producing single-vineyard Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from the appellation’s most significant AVAs. A small collection of single-vineyard Chardonnay, Merlot and Syrah complements the portfolio.

The process of selecting a site to produce a single-vineyard wine is of paramount importance. Every aspect of a vineyard must meet our exacting standards, including the soil, rootstock, clonal selection, exposure and farming practices. Our viticulture team farms with precision, based on what is required for each site to achieve the purest expression of its place. The process reveals how vineyards that are in some cases less than a mile apart and growing the same varietal, may produce wines of remarkably different charact.
