Charlotte Adams is a wine professional with experience working in the wine service and winemaking industries in France, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania. After managing a French wine bar in DC, she earned her master’s degree in Wine & Vineyard Sciences from the Institut des Sciences de la Vigne et du Vin at the University of Bordeaux in France. For her thesis research, she spent six months at Galen Glen Winery, a family-owned and operated vineyard in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania, studying the Austrian grape, Grüner Veltliner. Thanks to her experience at Galen Glen, an eye-opening internship at a biodynamic winery in Alsace, and her upbringing in Northern Vermont where winter temperatures routinely fell below zero, she has a particular soft spot for cool-climate wines. Her business, Common Road Wine, is a nod to the street she grew up on and to the sentiment of coming together to celebrate good food & drink.
