The 2017 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is ruby in color with a magenta rim. It has an enticing nose of cassis, blackberry, vanilla, sage, and spearmint. Upon entry, this wine builds from potpourri and bramble to a bright pop of raspberry on the mid-palate—a juicy finish with chewy tannins and a medium length.

Alder Ridge Winery is a celebration of one of the founding, most highly reputed vineyards in the famed Horse Heaven Hills appellation of Washington State. Best known for its award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon, the vineyard’s first vines were planted in 1997 and include plantings of Grenache, Mourvedre, Roussane, and Cinsault, among dozens more, making it the site of Washington’s most sought-after reds. This wine is big, bold and balanced, 12 months on French/American oak. It is dark garnet in color with aromas of bramble berries, cassis, cigar box, spice, almonds, and chocolate. The round palate offers a memorable profile of red fruits, dark chocolate, and a subtle tea leaf that lingers.
Tasting Note: Medium bodied and crisp, with subtle apple, pear and citrus notes. A mineral component comes through in the lively, balanced and long finish.
Dark garnet core, brilliant clarity in the glass. Intense, effusively luscious flavors of ripe red berries with caramelised notes of fig, cherry, and plum, elegantly woven together in barrel. Long-finishing and tannically vivid, yet with a remarkably soft palate.
pale lemon and very clear
