California wine has a long and continuing history, and in the late twentieth century became recognized as producing some of the world’s finest wine. While wine is made in all fifty U.S. states, up to 90% (by some estimates) of American wine is produced in the state. California would be the fourth largest producer of wine in the world if it were an independent nation.

The 2017 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is ruby in color with a magenta rim. It has an enticing nose of cassis, blackberry, vanilla, sage, and spearmint. Upon entry, this wine builds from potpourri and bramble to a bright pop of raspberry on the mid-palate—a juicy finish with chewy tannins and a medium length.

The Wetzel Family’s Pinot Noir vineyard is planted along the banks of the Russian River, where the morning fog lingers and cools the vines. The vineyard is planted to three clones – Dijon 777, for rich concentration and black fruit; Dijon115, for soft tannins and perfume and Pommard, for color, dark fruit and spice
An homage to the epic wine professional, Michael Broadbent, who founded Broadbent (one of our importers!) and also started the original wine auction in 1966 in collaboration with Christie’s auction house. This wine is made in the old-school Napa style, with balance, acidity, structure, and lots of delicious dark fruit character.

This wine is big, bold and balanced, 12 months on French/American oak. It is dark garnet in color with aromas of bramble berries, cassis, cigar box, spice, almonds, and chocolate. The round palate offers a memorable profile of red fruits, dark chocolate, and a subtle tea leaf that lingers.
Tasting Note: Medium bodied and crisp, with subtle apple, pear and citrus notes. A mineral component comes through in the lively, balanced and long finish.
Aromas of cherry, dark plum, blueberries, vanilla, and oak. The palate is smooth and well-balanced. Flavors of ripe red and dark fruits.
Blended from premier benchland vineyards, our Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon is polished and approachable. Elegant, juicy flavors of berry cobbler followed by mocha and wood spice unite, layer by layer to form a rich full-bodied wine with chalky, round tannins and a long finish. We suggest pairing with a rib eye with peppercorn sauce.
TASTING NOTES | Fresh and enticing, our North Coast
Sauvignon Blanc has summertime aromas of freshly shorn hay and a
sweet honeysuckle bouquet. On the palate, layers of ripe pear, green
apple and a hint of gooseberry. Its flavors flourish in the wine’s
minerality and finishes with a spry zest.
This elegant wine begins with aromas of blackberry, black cherry and sandal wood. Flavors of black currant, fennel and lavender are followed by soft acidity and spiced fruit finish.
